I am a cook because I love to eat. I am a glutton who loves a glut: from
the garden, the hedgerows, or that bag of black bananas going for 20p
on a Friday night at Sainsbury’s. I will cancel plans to make sure not a
morsel is wasted. I am an obsessive collector of cookbooks which feed
my appetite for new adventures in the kitchen. The thing which gets me
most excited about travel is the thought spending my days gorging on
exotic cuisine. Some of these experiences become ritual and then habit,
